2021 - Broome Diocese

On 28 August 2021, on the feast of Saint Augustine, Pope Francis appointed Bishop Michael Morrissey, Bishop of Geraldton, as the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Broome.

Resignation of Bishop Saunders: On 28 August 2021, Pope Francis, accepted the resignation of the Most Reverend Christopher Saunders as the Bishop of the Diocese of Broome.

Broome Diocese acknowledges and pays respect to the Traditional Owners and Elders, both past and present, of the lands on which Broome Diocese offices and operations are located.
