Fr Ernest Kandie - Australian Citizenship

Fr Ernest Kandie, until recently, was the Parish Priest of Balgo in the East Kimberley, and in April this year was appointed Parish Priest of La Grange/Bidyadanga Parish.  He has settled into his coastal Parish very well after his time of service in the desert communities.

A priest of the Diocese of Eldoret in Kenya, Fr Ernest has been on loan to the Diocese of Broome for the past seven years.  Late last year, 21 August 2021, Fr Ernest was awarded his Australian Citizenship in a ceremony held in Halls Creek.

Fr Ernest is seen here receiving his Certificate of Citizenship from Halls Creek Shire President, Malcolm Edwards.

Congratulations Fr Ernest and welcome to the Aussie family.
